One of our best social gatherings yet; The May 2019 Prohibition Party. Whilst our social functions do not have a dress code (at a naturist club?), there are some of us who like to go the extra mile and arrive at a social in full fancy dress.
As you can see, some members spared no effort and came fully dressed, looking for trouble.
The tables were expertly laid, the conservatory beautifully decorated, all whilst the team of chefs worked hard in the Cookhouse.
As this event was sold out, the anticipation and excitement was growing. A couple of dodgy looking mobsters volunteered to keep the riff raff from gate-crashing.
After drinking various forms of liquor from tea cups (all legal of course); finally the three course, gastronomic feast was ready. A selection of stuffed mushroom starters were most welcome.
The main course (acquired from a local contact) will remain a closely guarded secret. Only to be known by those who attended this premier event.
We were then spoilt for choice when it came to dessert, with six different delights to choose from.

As the evening wore on, there were rumours that trouble had started on the dance floor. No one saw anything. Rest assured, the bouncers dealt with it appropriately. The only evidence remaining was some strange graffiti left by local law enforcement.
The merriment continued into the night, accompanied by the loan-shark raffle, along with music; supplied by DJ Mobster himself. Those too cheap to pay the entrance fee could only look on in, from the outside.
At some point during the evenings’ fun and laughter, the hall was invaded by some show-girls who put on a performance we will never forget.
Our social events here at Heritage are usually run by the Social Team assisted by members. If you have an idea for an event that you would like to run please get in touch with us. We are always looking for new and fun ideas. Alternatively, if you would like to help us out (many hands make light work) please make yourself known to us.
